Finca Cántaros Environmental Association is participating in the first North American BirdFair this weekend, taking place in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí, Costa Rica! As the institutional “home” of eBird Costa Rica, we will be leading multiple activities in collaboration with the eBird Costa Rica team. Additionally, Director Lilly Briggs will also be doing a talk about her Lucy Loves Nature book and the work of Finca Cántaros. Stay tuned for more details!

FCEA is proud to be the current institutional “home” of eBird Costa Rica. Given that bird conservation is one of our pillars, we carry out numerous bird monitoring programs and apply various tools developed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology as part of these initiatives, including eBird, Merlin, and, more recently, all of the resources offered through “Grabando Aves” (Recording Birds).

As part of our role as the institutional home of eBird Costa Rica, we work to give greater visibility to our volunteer network through participation in national and international events such as the North American BirdFair.
