Finca Cántaros Environmental Association would like to congratulate our Co-Director and Resident Biologist, David Rodríguez, for his hard work earning a Masters in the Conservation of Wildlife and Biodiversity from UNA (Costa Rica’s National University). He officially received his diploma in May! Also in May, FCEA Founder & Director Lilly Briggs completed the online Tropical Forest Landscapes (TFL) certificate program through Yale University’s Environmental Leadership & Training Initiative. It was an incredibly fruitful experience, connecting with the experts teaching the course, as well as practitioners and students from across the tropical forest landscapes of the world. The most impactful aspect of the course was the Strategies Module, particularly learning about establishing and creating training landscapes around agroforestry and silvopastoral systems (see a previous blog post about our trip to Panama to meet Jacob Slusser, one of the lecturers). The practices learned are already being applied to the work of the organization, so stay tuned for more details!

An exciting collaboration with Birds Canada and the “ConservaAves” Initiative!
