We had a great session of Women Committed to the Earth this past Saturday, conducting a collaborative activity between Grabando Aves (Recording Birds, see below for details) and Finca Cántaros, along with women who are part of the eBird Costa Rica reviewers team, Las Jacanas (the all-female Costa Rica birding organization), women from the AmistOsa Biological Corridor Committee, and the Women and Birds group of Central and South America.
Grabando Aves is a regional initiative that seeks to strengthen bird sound recording in Latin America, encouraging more people to record, share, and use audio recordings througheBird and
the Macaulay Library of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
Thank you so much to Priscila Pellisier of Peru, one of the coordinators of Grabando Aves, for giving us a great talk!
We are excited to help more women build capacity to record bird songs and contribute to our understanding of biodiversity in 2026!
